TWO SUPER SEVENS FOR PRESIDENT’S CUP WINNER LEWIS HOWLAND

The worthy winner of the President's Cup with 42 points was late starter Lewis Howland (6) who birdied the 3rd, 4th, 12th and 15th, which enabled him to play the first seven in two under par and repeat the feat on the last seven.

HOWLAND GETS TO GRIPS WITH THE BEAUTIFUL COURSE

Sunday 9th June 2019

Late starter Andi Howland (9) was warming up when club pro Charlie Simpson suggested a slight change of grip. It must have felt funny at first because Howland bogeyed the opening hole and suffered a further crisis of confidence on the 6th and 7th. Having integrated the change Howland dropped just two shots on the inward leg to finish at six over par for 41 winning points after the white tees adjustment.
