ADAM CREAMORE WINS WINTER LEAGUE ROUND TWO WITH 47 POINTS

Adam Creamore (21) started the second round of the Stableford winter league at Castletown with a nett eagle and ended with a nett bogey. In between Creamore created ten nett birdies and knocked in six nett pars for an incredible 47 points.

BUCHANAN AND GAMES HEAD THE REVERSE GREENSOMES LEADERBOARD

David and William Laughlin were the winners on the day and stand sixth overall. Their nett 64.2 included two birdies and two double bogeys, six bogeys and eight pars. 4BBB knockout champion Donald Buchanan and Phil Games, who is enjoying his own hot streak, had won the first round by two clear shots. Without a naughty nine on the Road Hole they could have had a top three finish this weekend, but ended up finishing eighteenth with a nett 69.8. However, they have increased their lead in the cumulative competition.

BYRNES TAKE TWO OF THE TOP THREE PRIZES

Early starter John Byrne (11) had a stellar start parring the first five holes and had a similar par procession  after a bogey and double bogey on the 6th and 7th respectively. Even with an N/R on the short 16th Byrne finished six points ahead of the field with a splendid 34 points.

PERFECT TIMING RESCUES THE NEW CAPTAIN

Wet winter weather washed out the already rearranged reverse greensomes at Castletown Golf Club on Saturday. The next round is scheduled for January 12th and the final round may now take place the week after that. A dozen players did venture out on the previous Sunday in the nine holes stableford. That event was won by Bronwen Raatgever (32) who went round in a nifty nine over par for 27 points, six clear of the field.
