- Differences in weather from one day to the next - The reality is that the weather can and does regularly vary from morning to afternoon so there will always be situations where some players will have better conditions than others whether the event is held over one day or two. This can often be seen viewing golf on professional tours and occurs particularly at Links courses, the British Open is a great example. It would be impossible to conclude that players playing on one day or the other will have better weather over the course of the year. The committee may request members not to change their tee times within 48 hours of play, unless under exceptional circumstances permission is granted.
- Handicap Adjustments & Competition Administration - The CSS for the competition will be calculated on a per day basis so there will be no problem in calculating handicap adjustments. The newly installed system can handle this type of competition without any additional work being required.
- Impact on Ladies Sunday Competitions - The ladies committee have been consulted and feel that the increased numbers on a Sunday will benefit their sponsors due to increased exposure, their own competitions will be unaffected as their existing blocked tee times will remain in place.
