There is nothing on Earth quite like the Isle of Man TT Races. No other motorcycle race is held on such a challenging track as the 37-mile plus Mountain Course. The skill, bravery and concentration levels required are immense, with speeds approaching 200mph on the islands narrow winding roads!
No other motorsport event can boast more than 100 years of such illustrious history, rich in tradition and legends, and to have your name inscribed on a TT trophy is to sit with the gods. Not only does the event provide a spectacle unlike any other motorsport event but fans can even get within literally 5 metres of riders providing a feeling unlike any other of being truly "in the race"!
Dating back to 1913 this is an incredible annual event which brings the entire community of the Isle of Man together for 24 hours in an amazingly scenic and challenging walk. Walkers can go as far or as short a distance as they wish, but to complete the race they must walk through 17 parishes and cover a total of 85 miles (135km). The atmosphere is stunning with those who aren't walking out on the course offering support. To finish the race provides a truly amazing sense of accomplishment, hence why walkers travel from across the world to take part!
The Lighthouses Challenge offers three course distances, 100, 57 & 28 miles. The island has a brilliant cycling heritage with world champions Mark Cavendish and Peter Kennaugh hailing from our shores. International entrants could bring their own bike or hire from one of the islands bike shops. 394 participants entered in 2016 and the event continued to receive masses of very complimentary & encouraging feedback with some commenting that it was the "most enjoyable day ever" on their bike!
A further two week festival of Motor sport including motor bikes from bygone era's. No less challenging than the full TT races but with an extra dosage of spirit and fun!
The Isle of Man rally is an official stage of the British Rally Championship meaning a return to the ultra-challenging closed road stages bringing the cream of the UK’s rally crews as well as competitors from Norway, Finland, and Sweden. This is also combined with the Rallee Classicagh and Manx International Rally ensuring there is something for every rally fan!
1,700 riders from all over the world take part in this 46 mile event taking in multiple landscapes and challenges. The Isle of Man features 19 coastal, woodland, and highland glens providing a simply magical backdrop for this brilliant event. Book your place early!
UKIPT Isle of Man take place in the historic Villa Marina venue, located on the sea front promenade in the capital Douglas, and players will battle for the UKIPT Isle of Man title and a share of the massive £500,000 guaranteed prize pool.
